Tatjana Michel

Director, Currency Analysis, Schwab Center for Financial Research

Tatjana Michel is responsible for Schwab's currency research and analysis. She provides advice and guidance on currencies and currency-related products and communicates the Schwab point of view on currencies.

Prior to joining Charles Schwab in December 2010, Tatjana was a senior macroeconomist, bond portfolio manger and spokesperson at Julius Baer & Co., Ltd. in Zurich, Switzerland. In her function as a spokesperson for Julius Baer, she regularly appeared on Bloomberg TV and in major financial news papers, and held client presentations all over Europe. Tatjana spent the first part of her career at Credit Suisse in Zurich, where she worked as macroeconomic analyst, specializing in European and emerging market countries.

She holds an MBA in Economics from the University of Zurich, Switzerland.
