6. Please read the Schwab Intelligent Portfolios disclosure brochures for important information, pricing, and disclosures relating to Schwab Intelligent Portfolios.

Schwab Intelligent Portfolios and Schwab Intelligent Advisory are made available through Charles Schwab & Co. Inc. (“Schwab”), a dually registered investment advisor and broker-dealer.

There is no advisory fee or commissions charged for the Schwab Intelligent Portfolios Program. Investors do pay direct and indirect costs. These include ETF operating expenses which are the management and other fees the underlying ETFs charge all shareholders. The portfolios include a cash allocation to a deposit account at Schwab Bank. Our affiliated bank earns income on the deposits, and earns more the larger the cash allocation is. The lower the interest rate Schwab Bank pays on the cash, the lower the yield. Some cash alternatives outside of Schwab Intelligent Portfolios pay a higher yield. Deposits held at Schwab Bank are protected by FDIC insurance up to allowable limits per depositor6, per account ownership category. Schwab Intelligent Portfolios invests in Schwab ETFs. A Schwab affiliate, Charles Schwab Investment Management, receives management fees on those ETFs. Schwab Intelligent Portfolios also invests in third party ETFs. Schwab receives compensation from some of those ETFs for providing shareholder services, and also from market centers where ETF trade orders are routed for execution. Fees and expenses will lower performance, and investors should consider all program requirements and costs before investing. Expenses and their impact on performance, conflicts of interest, and compensation that Schwab and its affiliates receive are detailed in the Schwab Intelligent Portfolios disclosure brochures.

7. Schwab Intelligent Advisory™ charges no commissions or account service fees. Schwab affiliates do earn revenue from the underlying assets in Schwab Intelligent Portfolios accounts. This revenue comes from providing services relating to certain third party ETFs that can be selected for the portfolio, and from the cash feature on the accounts. Revenue may also be received from the market centers where ETF trade orders are routed for execution. Please read the Schwab Intelligent Advisory disclosure brochure for important information about this program.

Schwab Intelligent Advisory™ is made available through Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. (“Schwab”), a dually registered investment advisor and broker-dealer. Portfolio management services for Schwab Intelligent Portfolios® are provided by Charles Schwab Investment Advisory, Inc. (“CSIA”), a registered investment advisor. Schwab and CSIA are affiliates of the Charles Schwab Corporation.

8. Schwab Bank High Yield Investor Checking® accounts are available only as linked accounts with Schwab One® accounts. The Schwab One brokerage account has no minimum balance requirements, and there is no requirement to fund this account, when it is opened with a linked High Yield Investor Checking account.

9. Unlimited ATM fee rebates apply to cash withdrawals using the Schwab Bank Visa® Platinum Debit Card wherever it is accepted. ATM fee rebates do not apply to any fees other than fees assessed for using an ATM to withdraw cash from your Schwab Bank account. Schwab Bank makes its best effort to identify those ATM fees eligible for rebate, based on information it receives from Visa and ATM operators. In the event that you have not received a rebate for a fee that you believe is eligible, please call a Schwab Bank Client Service Specialist for assistance at 1-888-403-9000. Schwab Bank reserves the right to modify or discontinue the ATM fee rebate at any time.

16. A Guaranteed Lifetime Withdrawal Benefit (GLWB) is an optional rider available for an additional cost charged against the Protected Payment Base. After a specified age (differs for each annuity), you may withdraw your Protected Payment Amount for life at a certain rate (differs for each annuity) even after the account value has been depleted to zero. The Protected Payment Base is not a contract value and is not available for withdrawal like a cash value. Please see individual prospectus for additional details. Withdrawals in excess of the percentage limits in any year could significantly and permanently reduce all future withdrawal amounts. GLWB withdrawals are not annuity payouts. Annuity payouts generally receive a more favorable tax treatment than other withdrawals. Optional death benefits are not available if you have selected the Guaranteed Lifetime Withdrawal Benefit (GLWB), and you will be unable to elect the GLWB at a later date if you select an optional death benefit.
