Narrator: This demo covers how to explore a company's fundamentals using the Analyze tab. To get started, go to the Analyze tab and select Fundamentals.
On-screen animation: thinkorswim home screen, then arrow hovers to Analyze tab, then clicks on Fundamentals.
Narrator: To pull up information on a security, enter its symbol in the ticker symbol box, then select enter. An overview appears containing share prices, analyst ratings, and the stock chart.
Animation: A stock ticker symbol is highlighted, then analyst ratings are highlighted, and then the stock price chart is highlighted.
Narrator: To download the detailed analyst reports about the security, select Download to the right of the report.
To set an alert that triggers when an analyst changes a rating or issues guidance, select the bell icon to the right of Download, and enter the information detailing when and how you want to be notified.
Scrolling provides additional information, starting with the Company Profile.
By the Numbers provides balance sheet information and other fundamental data. Toggle between annual and quarterly views.
Company Details provides summary takeaways on key metrics—like market trends or key products.
And What Drives the Stock takes a more numeric look at similar information.
Animation: The What Drives the Stock dropdown opens a bar chart with divisions of a company by market capitalization.
Narrator: This bar shows the percentage of the stock's market cap driven by each division of its business.
To see the same data expressed in dollar amount rather than percentage of market cap, select Show: % of market cap, then Show: estimated value.
