Narrator: In this video we'll show you how to create alerts on thinkorswim® mobile for Android. Most people use thinkorswim alerts to notify them of price changes. If the stock goes above or below a certain price, you will receive a notification. There are a few ways to create an alert.
First, let's create a price alert for a stock in a watchlist. Tap the symbol to access the quote details. To set an alert, tap the alert bell icon on the Chart tab to access the Alert Editor. For this example, let's set an alert that'll notify us when the ask price falls more than a dollar below the current price. Set the alert type to Ask price, then set the trigger to less than and change the price to your target. Then select Create alert.
After creating an alert, you can see it on the stock's chart. To do this, select the chart to bring up the chart menu on the left, tap the eye icon, and then choose Alerts to display active alerts.
Another way to view or create alerts is to select the main menu and then tap Alerts. This brings up to the Alerts screen, where you can view Active, Triggered, and Canceled alerts. If you select one, you may cancel it or create a similar order or alert. To create a new alert, tap the search icon, search for a symbol and go to its quote details, then choose the bell icon to launch the Alert Editor.
Alerts are a great way to stay connected to the market even when you are away from thinkorswim.
