Rated 5 out of 5 by from Closing in on Retirement I have been a Schwab IRA and personal savings client for over 20 years. I have used them to accumulate my needs for retirement. The online research helped me to pick good, solid mutual funds that have a long term record for return. Now that I am approaching retirement, I am very glad I started with Schwab as a saver/investor.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Long term view I have had a Schwab IRA since the IRA law was first passed back in the 1970s. I got it because it had low or no annual fees, which was not nearly as common back then as it is now. The Schwab IRA has just about all the features one would want in an IRA: no annual fee. essentially unlimited investment choices, and a reasonable amount of research advice availability. I look forward to making withdrawals from my IRA in a few more years.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Investment Options My experience with Schwab IRA would be much improved if there was a way to automatically rebalance investments in my portfolio. Also, target retirement funds with competitive expense ratios and fees should be made available to IRA investors. I have a 401k with Schwab and low-cost target retirement funds are available but the same funds have high fees in the IRA accounts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Still happy after 20 years with Schwab Happy with everything at Schwab. I have received fast response to internet questions, telephone calls, in person visits, etc. Schwab offers free seminars to expand your knowledge and experts to help you decide what is best for your particular situation. Monthly statements and communications with Schwab are clear and useful. Schwab doesn't nickel and dime your account with assorted fees as some discount brokers do. I have recommended Schwab to many friends and relatives.
