Mark Riepe is Senior Vice President for the Schwab Center for Financial Research (SCFR). In this role, he is responsible for heading the Schwab Center for Financial Research and is also president of Charles Schwab Investment Advisory. He is a regular columnist for the Journal of Financial Planning, and author of numerous studies that have appeared in publications such as the Financial Analysts Journal and The Journal of Portfolio Management.

Prior to joining Schwab, Mark spent seven years as vice president with Ibbotson Associates, a Chicago-based consulting firm, and four years at GNP Commodities specializing in financial futures and options research.

Mark earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Chicago and a master’s degree in finance from the University of Chicago’s Graduate School of Business. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) charterholder.
