Portfolio Insights Disclosure

Portfolio Insights (“Insights”) is a generative artificial intelligence (AI) feature that is designed to provide: (1) a narrative summary of your Portfolio’s Day Change* as of the time stamp on the Insight, highlighting some of the stock, ETF, fixed income and options positions impacting your Portfolio’s unrealized investment performance (“Narrative Snapshot”); (2) a recap of select recent news articles covering up to five S&P 500® equity movers affecting your Portfolio’s value (“Company News”) and (3) snippets of recent Schwab Center for Financial Research content that may be relevant to your Portfolio (“SCFR Commentary”). For the purposes of Insights, your Portfolio includes all accounts selected for inclusion in the Total Value displayed on your Schwab home page.

Insights on specific securities should not be viewed as representative of your entire Portfolio. Insights often will not cover every security in your Portfolio and will not necessarily address your largest position(s), which may be in an asset class or type not covered by Insights. You should not assume that all current events affecting securities in your Portfolio are covered by an Insight.

Insights are not offers, solicitations of offers, recommendations or investment advice (including as defined under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act or the Internal Revenue Code) on any securities mentioned or omitted and should not be relied on as such. Insights do not provide information sufficient to form or make an investment decision on any security or investment strategy involving securities. A Narrative Snapshot will discuss up to five individual stock, ETF, option and/or fixed income positions that stand out in your Portfolio at the moment the Insight is created. A Narrative Snapshot often will not reflect all the securities investments across your Portfolio. Certain asset types—such as Mutual Funds or securities held in external accounts—are excluded from the Narrative Snapshot because intraday pricing information is unavailable. Schwab reserves the right in its sole discretion to determine the products (including, but not limited to stock, ETF, options or fixed income) that are eligible for the Narrative Snapshot and can make changes at any time without prior notice.

Company News is identified by querying select news services for articles published generally within the last business day relating to up to five S&P 500® equity movers that are affecting your Portfolio’s unrealized performance. As a result, Insights may not reflect more significant developments from earlier time periods. For more comprehensive news coverage of a company over a longer time frame, stock research available on Schwab.com is recommended. Insights does not directly query the select news services for information about macroeconomics or industry sector-related news. Nonetheless, references to these broader categories may appear in Company News if included in a news article relating to a specific security. While Company News summaries are obtained from sources believed to be reliable, Schwab does not guarantee, nor is it responsible for, the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of this information. The content of the articles have not been verified and do not necessarily represent the views of Schwab.

Trading price movements may be caused by factors not discussed in queried news coverage.

Insights will sometimes include market analysis and macroeconomic perspectives from the Schwab Center for Financial Research (including: Daily Market Updates, Options and Futures Daily Market updates, and Schwab Original Podcasts).

Insights are generated through the use of generative AI. Generative AI outputs are sometimes inaccurate, contain hallucinated or incomplete information, and can be delayed, out‑of‑date, or not reflect current market conditions. Insights are not designed to interpret or analyze the news, nor to provide any implicit or explicit forecasts or predictions about how any fact or event, whether seemingly favorable or negative, could impact the price of a security. Insights, including statements about the performance of your Portfolio or individual securities therein, are current only as of the day and time posted and are subject to change. Performance data provided represents past unrealized performance and is no guarantee of any kind. Once generated, Insights do not update automatically. You can update your Insights approximately every 20–30 minutes. Performance data described in an Insights summary generally will reflect prices on securities up to market close. Your Schwab account statement is the only official record of your Schwab holdings and balances.

Insights’ references to your Portfolio’s performance is based on aggregated account values, which are based on security valuations in accordance with the methodology set forth on the Summary home page or screen. Some securities, especially thinly-traded equities in the OTC market or foreign markets, may be valued based on stale prices. For the purpose of Insights, options positions are assumed to be unpaired (that is, without regard to equity-covered positions, spread, or other multi-leg options strategies).

Portfolio performance may be compared to performance of the S&P 500® Total Return Index, which is an established benchmark for the equity securities markets. Other indices may be more relevant to your Portfolio depending on its composition and your investment objectives.
