SCHWAB COACHING®

Meet Ben Watson.

The Market Edu-tainer—with him, if you're laughing, you're learning.

"Because of my diverse background, I'm able to connect with clients on a variety of different levels, across different skill sets, and through different ideas." — Ben Watson

The short story.

Ben Watson: My name is Ben Watson, and I'm a Schwab Education Coach, and I specialize in technical analysis, options strategies, advanced options, futures, and index options.

Onscreen text: What do you love most about being an Education Coach?

Ben Watson: My favorite part of being a coach is having those interactions with clients, and as I'm breaking concepts down, seeing the light bulb go on and seeing that flash of understanding and recognition in their face. That's why I enjoy teaching in that live environment.

Teaching online is great because we're able to reach a lot of people, but teaching live from stage and seeing the faces of clients as they begin to understand ideas is awesome for me as a coach and educator, and hopefully, can change their lives as clients.

Onscreen text: What is your coaching style like?

Ben Watson: What makes me different from other coaches is my ability to connect with clients on a variety of different levels, across different skill sets. Different ideas.

Because of my diverse background, I'm able to connect with diverse clients.

I like to use the concept of humor, so I've spent a lot of time doing community theater and doing improv, so that I have that ability to connect with clients and get them laughing.

Now, some people in my family might not think that I'm very funny, but if I can get a client laughing about an idea, then they're going to remember what we're talking about.

Onscreen text: What makes you tick?

Ben Watson: Passion for educating. A passion for connecting with clients. But I think even beyond that, I like to help people get beyond the mythology of investing, to the reality of being able to make decisions so that they can take action, because there's a lot of mythology out there.

Onscreen text: What makes Schwab Coaching® unique?

Ben Watson: Schwab Coaching differs from other educational resources out there in the industry in really, I think three ways.

One, we have coaches who have been in the industry and around the industry for a long time and have spent time on the water educating clients.

That means not only have we heard many of the questions that clients ask, but we've experienced many of the experiences that clients have experienced. So we're able to teach from our own experience as well as from that shared knowledge base of all of our clients.

Two, we have educational resources and strategies that we can teach that help clients in a variety of different life stages or goals that they might want to achieve. And so we can match what they want to accomplish with something that we have as an educational resource.

And then third, I think the difference between Schwab Coaching and every other educational resource out there is we're not trying to sell you anything.

We are simply grateful that you are our clients. We are there to help you be successful because when you're successful, we're successful.
