Throughout the video, the speaker (James Boyd) appears sitting on a sofa in an office, smiling and laughing and standing indoors next to a set of stairs, smiling while looking at the camera.

James Boyd: My name is James Boyd. I'm a Schwab Education Coach, and I specialize in intermarket analysis.
Onscreen text: What do you love most about being an Education Coach?
James Boyd: What I want to try to do is try to help people make progress sooner and get the right answers. Potential solutions.
I want to help people find out what are their questions, and how do you actually talk to someone who has experience, who cares?
And then I can explain it to them and then help overcome their fears. Because that's a lot of times what happens is people have questions, they learn potential solutions, and then they say, okay, am I really going to go out and practice it now?
And I help overcome their fears through experience of seeing markets go up and down.
And that's really what I try to share with them. But the biggest thing is I want to connect with them as a person and say, "I'm an investor, just like you. And I at one point, I was right where you were."
Onscreen text: What is your coaching style like?
James Boyd: Well, if you come to any of my webcasts, they probably have anywhere between 2 to 500 people. People actually come there because they actually know that they're going to see value. I don't waste a lot of time. We cover a lot of material. We actually want to make sure your questions are answered.
Some people are very good at teaching beginners. Some people are good at teaching beginners to intermediate. Some people are good at teaching advanced and not below.
I don't care what your question is—that's the topic, okay? And we all can actually talk about it right on the fly. I'm going to teach you. But at the same time is I'm going to teach you with passion. I'm going to get into the details because I love the details.
I'm also going to answer your question and teach you through humor, where it all sticks.
Onscreen text: What makes you tick?
James Boyd: What makes me tick is my father. And my father, he was the first one that went to college. He decided he was going to go all in, and he went to the very top in his profession, in animal science.
And he went and taught at Cornell University. And so I never had to wonder when I started at this place, what am I going to do?
I'm going to do what my example was. My example was to really, really be someone that goes all in and then show the care to people that really want to learn and give them your best. And I think that's really what makes me tick.
A computer screen with financial visuals appears, with James Boyd in a small video window in the lower left corner, talking.
Onscreen text: What makes Schwab Coaching® unique?
James Boyd: We talk about education. You want to know is there a human side? And do people actually have experience that can teach you? And I think the biggest thing about our experience and our depth is we have seen different trends of markets. Big massive down trends, sideways up trends. So the people that you're getting taught from, they have experience. This is not the first time they've seen certain things. That's huge.
Whether you come to the live events or virtual events, that's a different way to learn.
Why do we have different formats? We have different formats because people learn differently at different times.
But all those three or four ways we actually teach it, all come back to the point of making a difference and helping you make progress.

James Boyd: If I had to describe Schwab Coaching in one way, it would be a human touch with your personal investing.
