Rob Williams is Director, Income Planning for the Schwab Center for Financial Research (SCFR). In this role, he focuses on fixed income and income-planning issues, including key topics of interest to individual investors seeking to increase income from their portfolios. Williams also provides analysis of bonds, fixed-income strategies and other income-oriented issues.

Prior to joining Schwab, Rob was a director at Standard & Poor's in the credit market services Public Finance division, where he served as lead analyst on a variety of municipal debt issues including long-term bonds and notes.

Rob earned a bachelor's degree from Princeton University and an M.B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.
