Narrator: Looking to research an individual mutual fund or ETF?

Narrator: Schwab’s research tools offer investors an easy way to find mutual funds that match their investment goals. To get started, navigate to Research and select Research Tools, then choose either ETFs or Mutual Funds from the Research Tools navigation. For this example, we’ll select Mutual Funds.

Narrator: From here, you’ll have a variety of tools to choose from when researching a fund. Options include the Mutual Fund Screener, the Mutual Fund Compare tool, Portfolio Builder and more. For now, we’ll search for our fund directly using the search box. To begin, enter the name or symbol of the fund you’d like to research. Suggestions will automatically be displayed as you enter the name of your security.

Narrator: Once you select your security, you'll then be redirected to the research page, where various research insights about the fund will be displayed. Some examples include the fund summary, Ratings, and Similar Mutual Funds. Certain sections can be expanded to display additional information, such as Growth of $10,000 Investment, whereby expanding the section allows for additional information such as technical indicators, fund comparisons, date adjustments and more.
