Narrator: Looking to trade using the thinkorswim® desktop app or thinkorswim web? To get started, log in to Schwab.com. We're going to download the thinkorswim desktop app on MacOS, but please note that the process is similar for PC computers. There may be slight variations due to browser and personal computer setups. Select Trade, then select Trading Platforms.

Narrator: Scroll down and select Download thinkorswim desktop. You may need to approve the download.

Narrator: Once your download is complete, locate the downloaded file, and open the installer. Choose your desired language, then select OK. The Setup Wizard will take you through a series of choices about how you'd like the thinkorswim app to work on your personal computer.

Narrator: For this demonstration, we'll select Schwab as our account provider and select Next.

Narrator: Read and accept the terms of the license agreement and select Next again.

Narrator: Choose if you’d like to install thinkorswim for a single user or multiple users, then select where you’d like it installed on your hard drive and select Next.

Narrator: Decide whether you’d like a thinkorswim desktop icon for easy access to the app and select Next. The Setup Wizard will finish installing the necessary files. This may take a few minutes, so be sure not to close the Wizard window during installation.

Narrator: Once complete, you'll be asked if you would like to run thinkorswim or exit the setup. Select the checkbox for Run thinkorswim and select Finish.

Narrator: The thinkorswim app will finish starting up and open a login window. Please note that thinkorswim will look for software updates every time it starts up to make sure you are always using the latest version of the desktop app. Select either Live Trading or paperMoney®, enter your Schwab.com login ID and password, and select Log In to launch the app.

Narrator: The Setup Wizard will provide you options for configuring your workspace, which you can choose to skip. You can always open the Setup Wizard again by selecting Setup and choosing Open Setup Wizard from the dropdown menu.

Narrator: To access to thinkorswim web, make sure you're still logged in to Schwab.com, select Trade, then select thinkorswim Web. A new window will open with thinkorswim web ready to go.

Narrator: You can also get to thinkorswim web by navigating directly to trade.thinkorswim.com or thinkorswim.com, and logging in.

Narrator: Depending on your account settings, you may need to complete two-factor authentication to log in to any instance of thinkorswim.
