Restrictions apply: The standard online $4.95 commission does not apply to foreign stock transactions, large block trading transactions requiring special handling, or restricted stock transactions. All broker-assisted and automated phone trades are subject to service charges. See the Charles Schwab Pricing Guide for details. Employee equity compensation transactions are subject to separate commission schedules.

Satisfaction Guarantee: If you are not completely satisfied for any reason, at your request Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. (“Schwab”) or Charles Schwab Bank ("Schwab Bank") will refund any eligible fee related to your concern within the timeframes described below. Two kinds of “Fees” are eligible for this guarantee: (1) asset-based “Program Fees” for the Schwab Private Client (“SPC”), Schwab Managed Portfolios (“SMP”), Schwab Intelligent Advisory (“SIA”), and Managed Account Connection (“Connection”) investment advisory services sponsored by Schwab (together, the “Participating Services”); and (2) commissions and fees listed in the Charles Schwab Pricing Guide for Individual Investors (“Account Fees”) or the Charles Schwab Bank Pricing Guide. Program Fee refund requests must be received no later than the next calendar quarter after the Fee was charged. Account Fee refund requests must be received within one year of the date that the Fee was charged.

Program Fees are calculated as a percentage of eligible assets in Participating Service accounts. For more information about Program Fees, please see the disclosure brochure for the Participating Service, made available at enrollment or any time at your request. The Connection service includes only accounts managed by investment advisors affiliated with Schwab: Windhaven Investment Management, Inc., ThomasPartners, Inc., and Charles Schwab Investment Management, Inc. The guarantee does not cover Program Fees for accounts managed by investment advisors who are not affiliated with Schwab or managed by Schwab-affiliated advisors outside of the SPC, SMP, SIA and Connection services.

The guarantee is only available to current clients. Refunds will only be applied to the account charged and will be credited within approximately four weeks of a valid request. No other charges or expenses, and no market losses will be refunded. Other restrictions may apply. Schwab reserves the right to change or terminate the guarantee at any time."

3. Account must be approved and funded before trading can occur. Options carry a high level of risk and are not suitable for all investors. Certain requirements must be met to trade options through Schwab. Please read the Options Disclosure Document titled Characteristics and Risks of Standardized Options.

4. Requires a wireless signal or mobile connection.

5. The $1,000 minimum required to open an account is waived if you set up an automatic monthly transfer of $100 through direct deposit or Schwab MoneyLink® or open a Schwab Bank High Yield Investor Checking® account linked to your brokerage account.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Caution I've always had great service from Schwab UNTIL my father's passing in Dec 2017. Schwab's Estates department is deplorable. Don't be in any hurry to settle accounts of relatives who have passed. Even Schwab's own branch complains about their Estates department. Firstly, getting through to this department requires hold times in excess of 20 minutes. Each of my 5 attempts to contact this department required hold times ranging from 17-25 !!! minutes. Then, after submitting what I estimated to be required documents (branch personnel and Estates department could not tell me), I had to call back after 3 days of no response. It would appear the Estates department needs to be more thoroughly trained and staffed up to handle these sensitive matters and serving bereaved family members.

When I first started I was just an 18 year old who knew pretty much nothing about investing, but now, almost a year later, have a good amount of knowledge on investing thanks to my CS brokerage account. Reading charts and analyst's opinions is extremely clear and straight forward which has helped me a ton. I speak very highly of my account to my friends and encourage them to join me on Schwab as well!
