Hello and welcome to the Quick Start Video where we cover Screener Plus & Sectors tool available on Schwab's StreetSmart Edge platform.
The Screener Plus tool can help you identify securities meeting certain criteria by setting up Custom Screens, as well as providing a variety of Predefined Screens.
You can find the Screener Plus by looking in Launch Tools. Click on Screener Plus.
Let's start with Predefined Screens.
The Predefined Screens can be found along the left rail. Here you can find a variety of equity and options screens.
You can find Top Volume, Gainers & Decliners, High/Low for the day, Performance by Sectors, and many others.
Click once on a screen and its results appear in the body of the window as a new tab.
From there you can use Actions to print or export the results.
Or you can click on Save as Watch List to quickly create a Watch List out of the results of your screen.
Click on Criteria to view the criteria used to produce the current results.
Let's talk about Custom Screens. You can create a new screen by right clicking on the "+" to the right of the tabs. Here you can select from popular fundamental and technical criteria.
Alternatively you can easily edit predefined screens by going to the Criteria tab and making changes to the screen.
You can name your screen and Click Save Screen at the bottom to save your changes.
Let's talk about Sector Tool. If you are interested in performance data for Sectors, you came to the right place.
Schwab has GICS (Global Industry Classification Standard) classifications for Sectors, Industry and Sub-industry.
Drill down to the sub-industry to see the individual securities and save them to a watch list.
