Asset Allocation Funds

Asset allocation is a time-tested strategy that can help diversify your portfolio across key asset categories—such as stocks, bonds and cash. This strategy can help balance risk while seeking to provide competitive returns. Asset allocation funds can offer investors a convenient way to manage their entire portfolio in one investment.

  • Schwab Target Funds are designed for retirement investing. The funds become more conservative over time as you approach retirement. Simply choose the fund that matches your anticipated retirement date and let Schwab do the rest.
  • Schwab Market Track Portfolios allow you to chose a fund based on your desired risk / reward level. Professional managers monitor the portfolios to keep them in line with their particular allocations. All-Equity, Growth, Balanced and Conservative portfolios are available.
