Automatic Investment Plan (AIP)

Make regular automatic investments in mutual funds, conveniently building your portfolio at your own pace. Just tell us how much and how often to add to your selected investment.

Automatically invest as little as $100, as often as you like—twice per month, monthly, or quarterly.
Choose from any fund on Schwab's Mutual Fund OneSource Select List®, our experts' top picks.
There are no setup fees, and no penalties to pause or cancel the plan at any time.

If you are new to Schwab, you can sign up for AIP once you receive an account number. If you are a current customer, please use www.schwab.com/aip to enroll online or download the AIP application.

Direct Deposit

Direct deposit transfers typically come from your payroll, Social Security, pension, or other government-issued payments.

The following accounts qualify for direct deposit:

Schwab One® (includes Brokerage, Trust, Estate, and Organization accounts)
Traditional and Roth IRA
Education Savings
Schwab One Custodial and Custodial IRA
Schwab Bank Investor Checking™

If you are new to Schwab, you may sign up for direct deposit once you receive a Schwab account number. If you are a current customer, please use www.schwab.com/directdeposit to access a personalized direct deposit form with additional instructions.

Schwab MoneyLink

MoneyLink enables you to transfer funds between an outside account, such as a savings or checking account, and your Schwab account.

You may sign up for MoneyLink online or with a paper application. If you are new to Schwab, you may set up MoneyLink when you open your account online; on the Fund Your Account page, select “Transfer cash from an outside financial institution.” If you are a current customer, please use www.schwab.com/moneylink to obtain more information and to enroll.
